After receiving more than 40 nominations for our £1000 charity grant initiative, we shortlisted four fantastic charities for the employees of McCarthy Stone to vote on for their winner.

Nearly 300 of our employees across the business cast their votes, with one clear winner emerging.

We are delighted to announce that the winner was….

Buddies Dementia Cafe in Nettleham, Lincolnshire was nominated by one of our House Managers, Sarah Harris. It clearly resonated with our staff, as it received just over 65% of the votes with many people commenting that they were keen to support smaller local charities where the money would have a really big impact, and that dementia remains a challenge that resonates with all of our teams.

We are looking forward to working with Buddies and seeing how they put their grant to use as they start to resume their full services in the weeks ahead.
