Clare conquers Pen-y-fan for the Foundation
A big well done and thank you to Clare, House Manager at Bath Gate Place in Cirencester, who got her walking kit on and hit the Brecon Beacons this weekend to raise money for the foundation.
Clare told us that “Myself and a few friends decided to walk one of the Pen Y Fan trails in the Brecon Beacons (now called by its original name sake of Bannau Brycheiniog ). We will be walking along the Cwn Llwch trail which is 12km in total. This route follows the valley of Cwm Llwch to look down on the mountain pool Llyn Cwm Llwch before ascending to the distinctive, flat summit of Corn Du, then on to Pen y Fan and a short clamber down onto the ridge of Cefn Cwm Llwch before dropping steadily down with stunning views of Brecon and its environs to return along quiet lanes to the start. The elevation we will stand at is around 2,253 ft, with a steady incline of 425m up and down.”
We are really proud of Clare, who has raised £380 so far for the foundation through her challenge. There is still time to donate if you’d like to show your support at this link. Clare Perry is fundraising for The McCarthy Stone Foundation (justgiving.com)
As always with funds raised by the wonderful teams at McCarthy Stone, everything raised by Clare will be matched by the company, doubling the impact of her efforts and everyone who supported her. A big thank you from all of us! Well done Clare, the views look amazing!!
