Christmas Connections Grants announced

5 December 2022

This Christmas we are once again happy to be supporting local, grassroots charities and community groups who are connecting older people with their community over the festive season.

Building on last year, we are pleased to announce 34 grants for a total of £20,000 of support. This year’s grants range from funding Christmas Day Dinners at local churches and community hubs, through to providing food hampers, supporting community transport services, and helping with the core costs of companionship services. As always, these are all grassroots local organisations, typically dependent on the kindness of volunteers to make their events possible. They range from as far south as Cullompton in Devon, well into Scotland, and will be supporting well over 2000 older people in total over the Christmas period.
