After two successful years at The Belfry, this year we headed to the Marriott Hanbury Manor for the 2023 London South East Division charity golf day. We were joined by suppliers and contractors in glorious weather to take on the wonderfully manicured fairways and greens of the historic course near Ware in Hertfordshire.

Our guests got in some early practice on the driving range and putting green after coffee and bacon rolls, before being entertained by the brilliant Kev Carpenter. We love having Kev along every year with his banter and impressive array of trick shots, comedy bicycles, gym balls, challenges and entertainment.

A shotgun start got the competition off and running, with sole use of the course for the day. 4.5 hours later the first teams made their way back in for evening entertainment with comedian Jed Stone. Our raffle on the night raised over £2,000 (thanks to everyone who donated a prize and our team of raffle ticket sellers), with prizes including a four-ball at Hanbury Manor (worth over £400) and a night with dinner, bed and breakfast at St Michael’s Manor Hotel.

Thanks to the generosity of our friends who joined us on the day, over £30,000 was raised for the foundation, which will all be match-funded by McCarthy Stone, bringing the total for the day to more than £60,000!

A huge thanks to the team at Marriott Hanbury Manor, who were absolutely brilliant. We are looking forward to returning there in 2024!
